RUDE RECEPTIONIST PASS ON THIS PLACE

Posted by dak409 on 11/21/2009

Today I called the school to inquire about having my daughters hair styled in a simple up do for her junior prom that was tonight.I asked if I could make an appointment and (please note) I called at 9 am, I was told by the women that ansewered the phone it would be $ 18.00 and I could just come in there are no appointments on saturday. Please also note I had my hair my cut here last saturday and my daughter had her hair colored and cut 4 weeks ago also a saturday we walked in and both times it was around noon we were serviced and had a good experiences wich is why we went back.So we went in at noon and were greeted but the same women I had talked to on the phone she said what do you need I said I called earlier about the style for my daughter and she as rude as could be said we are closing early we are booked for the rest of the day and can't help you.She the said I told you when you called we might close early I said no you didn't or I would have come in then she proceeded to be nasty and then admitted maybe she didn't tell me that but couldn't help us any way. Just because its a school does not mean you can be rude and lack customer service skills. My daughter could not get her hair done we went to 4 places but no luck had she told me at 9am she could not help me or to come in right away we would have or I could of called other places and found some one. I will never go back and I have been recomending lots of people to go there but I will let them know to pass on it. I do not know her name but she was also there last saturday she takes the money and sits at the desk where you come in.

cut & color

I was leaving on vacation and could not get my hair cut before I left. When arriving in MD I called the beauty school - no appointments, just walk in. I got right in and had my hair cut. I live in New England and the girl who cut my hair has an aunt who lives in our town! Small world! We discussed color (which I desperately needed as well) and I went back the following day for that. Very accommodating, everyone there was very nice and helpful, and I love my cut and color. Arriving back home and coming back to work, I received many compliments. Everyone loves the 'do. Thanks for helping me out in a pinch. And thanks to Jess and Jen for the super jobs they did.

Empire is not in Chico!

This school is not even located ANYWhere in California! So, as a consumer I challenge them to provide me with a service...or at least some truth in advertising. When I called, Melissa (who answered the phone) had to admit that she didn't even know when they were going to be coming to California! But they have plans!!!

Response from Empire Beauty Schools

Posted on 2/11/2009

I aplogize for any confusion. Empire is currently in 19 states and has 88 schools, which requires us to do National Advertising on Yellowpages.com. YP.com automatically sets a response that states "Serving the Chico Area," even though we do not. Hopefully we will soon be in an area near you. If you click "visit the web site," you would recieve the appropriate information.

excellent

I reviewed this school accidently. I meant to review another one. I have never been here so I am rating it according to what the review before me had to say. Sorry
